Unidentified people opened fire on the bus of Sindh University in Hyderabad, Pakistan. The bus driver died in the accident.

Unidentified assailants fired on a Sindh University bus in Hyderabad’s City Gate area on Friday, killing the driver, a local news agency reported citing police.

There was no student on the bus.

Police have informed that the bus driver was shot dead by unknown assailants due to old enmity. However, there were no students on the bus when unidentified assailants opened fire on it.

That’s why no untoward incident happened with any student. According to the news agency, the body of driver Ghulam Ali has been shifted to a civil hospital for further lego-medical work.

Police said that no student was present on the bus when the incident of firing took place. However, he also told that the investigation of the matter is still going on.

Demand was raised for the arrest of the culprits.

According to transport in-charge SU Mehar Ali Qazi, this incident is the result of old enmity. Meanwhile, the Hyderabad Police has registered a case and started an investigation into the murder of the driver.

Soon after the incident, SU transport department employees staged a protest in Hyderabad City Gate area and blocked traffic. They have demanded the arrest of the culprits.
