US Drone Strike in Syria: US carried out a drone attack in Syria, killing ISIS terrorist Maher al-Agal, to which Biden expressed happiness.

The Pentagon, the headquarters of the US Defense Department, said on Tuesday that it killed a leader of the Islamic State (IS) group in Syria in a drone strike.

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said Maher al-Agal was killed on Tuesday and another IS militant was seriously injured. Maher al-Agal was among the top five terrorists of IS.

The Pentagon has said that there were no civilian casualties in this action. The US launched an attack outside Jindris, a town in northwestern Syria bordering Turkey.

The terrorist organizations will never fulfill their purpose: the US military.

At one time, IS controlled more than 40,000 square miles of territory from Syria to Iraq. However, the empire of this terrorist organization has collapsed in 2019.

US Army Colonel Joe Buccino said the attack would weaken IS. This terrorist organization will never be successful in fulfilling its objectives.

Maher al-Agal, in addition to being a senior leader within the group, was responsible for aggressively advancing the development of IS networks outside Iraq and Syria, a statement said.

Joe Biden praises the US military and intelligence community.

President Joe Biden on Tuesday praised the US military and intelligence community for eliminating top Islamic State (ISIS) leader Maher al-Agal in a successful counter-terrorism operation in Syria, saying the airstrikes undermined IS’s capability.

“Today, the men and women of the US military and our intelligence community successfully conducted an airstrike against Maher al-Agal, one of the top leaders of ISIS,” Biden said.

He also recalled the US operation in February in which the leader of ISIS was killed.

The top IS leader was killed in February.

US Central Command spokesman Joe Buccino, using a different abbreviation for the extremist group’s name, said:

“The death of Maher al-Agal reaffirms CentCom’s steadfast commitment and the lasting defeat of IS.”

A top IS leader in Syria was captured and detained after a raid by a US-led coalition in June, according to the US military.

In February, top IS leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Quraishi was killed as a result of an operation by US special forces in northwestern Syria.
