Adani Group Case: SC gives time to SEBI for an investigation against Adani Group, and asked to submit a report by August 14.

A hearing was held in the Supreme Court on Wednesday regarding the allegations of corruption leveled by Hindenburg on the Adani Group.

The court has given the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) three months to investigate. The court has asked SEBI to give a status report by August 14.

The court said that after seeing the report, an order can be given to finish the investigation by 30 September.

The report of the expert committee on improving the working of the stock market will be given to all the parties. It will be discussed on July 11.

 A bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud is hearing the matter.

The bench on Wednesday ordered Sebi to file an investigation status report. The bench also includes Justices PS Narasimha and JB Pardiwala.

Explain that on March 2, the Supreme Court ordered the formation of a six-member committee to investigate the allegations of stock manipulation by US short-seller Hindenburg against the Adani Group.

The Supreme Court has listed the matter for further hearing on July 11.
