Japan-China Tensions: Japan intercepts Chinese aircraft over Pacific Ocean, fighter jets deployed in the area. Japan intercepted a Chinese plane flying over the Pacific Ocean.

It is being told that the aircraft was the Y-9DZ electronic-warfare aircraft of the Chinese PLA, which was intercepted by Japan’s Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) over the Pacific Ocean on Thursday.

Japan’s Defense Ministry said the surveillance plane was flying about 225 km south of the Yamama Islands, southwest of Japan’s Okinawa Prefecture.

Explain that the Y-9DZ and Y-9 aircraft are China’s newly developed electronic fighter jets.

After detecting this aircraft, Japan’s Air Self-Defense Force deployed fighter jets to respond to Chinese military aircraft in international airspace.

Explain that not much information was given about the fighter jets sent by the Japanese Defense Ministry to stop the Chinese military aircraft.

These Chinese surveillance aircraft have been spotted at a time when the US and Japan are strengthening their cooperation in view of the increasing Chinese military aggression in the region.

As per reports, the region is witnessing an increase in the number of spy planes deployed by China and Japan, indicating various reasons including intelligence gathering.

In addition to the military aircraft, a Chinese Navy survey ship also intruded into Japan’s territorial waters near the islands in Kagoshima Prefecture on June 8.
