If there was no finance, Kashmir would have been a desert.

Panun Kashmir President Dr. Ajay Churungu said that if there was no Vitasta, Kashmir would not have been Kashmir, it would have been a desert, it would have been barren.

If Kashmir is heaven, if the land of Kashmir is fertile, then finance is responsible for it. Finance is the only one who does the welfare of Kashmir.

Mother Parvati has appeared in the form of a stream.

The description of Vitasta, a symbol of the ancient and eternal culture of Kashmir, is also mentioned by Lord Krishna in the Mahabharata.

According to the Neelmat Purana, the land on which Kashmir is today, there used to be a lake called Satisar.

Sage Kashyap had dried this lake, because the demon named Deva, the water living in it, used to harass the citizens, kill them.

It came to an end as the water of the lake was washed away, but the demons again started harassing the saints in Kashmir. Disturbed by this, the saints appealed to Rishi Kashyap for help.

He worshiped Lord Shiva and then Lord Shiva asked Goddess Parvati to take the form of a stream of water and drive away the demons settled in Kashmir and become a carrier of happiness and prosperity in Kashmir.

After this Lord Shiva struck the ground with his trident and then the water stream came out from there, the place where Goddess Parvati appeared in the form of a stream, its length is equal to 12 fingers, and hence the name Vitasta.

This entire event is called Vyeth Truvah, the place where Goddess Parvati appeared as Vitasta, is known today as Verinag near Anantnag in South Kashmir. Today it is also called Verinag’s spring.
