US President Biden also praised the ceasefire, saying “Palestinians and Israeli citizens are entitled to live in an equally safe environment”.

“I spoke to the President of Egypt and the Prime Minister of Israel over the phone,” Biden told reporters. I applaud Netanyahu for taking the decision to stop the conflict.
