Defense Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated two centers of BRO, said – organization playing an important role in the progress of the nation.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh visited Border Roads Organization (BRO) Headquarters in New Delhi.

During this, he also worked on the ‘Centre of Excellence for Roads, Bridges, Airfield and Tunnels’ and the ‘Centre of Excellence for Road Safety and Awareness’. ) was inaugurated.

During this, he said that since its inception, BRO has been playing a vital role in the progress of the nation by building roads, tunnels, and other infrastructure in remote areas.

Rajnath Singh also said that the most important component is connectivity.

For connectivity, our BRO personnel has been working tirelessly and tirelessly even in the midst of difficulties like severe winter, heat, rain, snowfall.

In the last five seven years, BRO has made even more remarkable achievements. The bigger the organization, the more complex its management.

In such a situation, the four software being launched today will bring efficiency to the work of the organization and will also save their time. Their creation also marks the success of ‘Self-reliant India’ and ‘Digital India’ campaigns.

Rajnath further said that it is also a matter of great pride to start two ‘Centers of Excellence’ each based on the study of ‘Road Safety’, and ‘Roads, Bridges, Tunnels, Air-fields’.

Both these centers complement each other in their objectives. Expressing concern over road accidents, he said that accidents on the roads are a cause of great concern for us today.

Everyone seems to believe that the accident is made for others; There must be some accident with me! And so he doesn’t take as much care as he should.

Rajnath said that it is a matter of great surprise that our country has less than 3% of the world’s total vehicles, but the accidents are close to 11%.

Around 4.5 lakh accidents, and 1.5 lakh unfortunate deaths every year. Is this less than a silent pandemic?

To get rid of all this, whatever steps the government has taken, such as approving the ‘National Road Safety Policy’, bringing in the ‘Motor Vehicle Act 2020’, identifying black spots on the National Highway, etc.

This center also plays an important role and will continue to play the role, I believe.

The Defense Minister further said that the most important thing is to create awareness about road safety among the people; About which BRO is aware not from today but for a very long time.

Wherever the roads of BRO are built, they are a matter of attraction in themselves. Before walking on BRO roads, in the name of road safety, people often come across a slogan, ‘Caution removed, the accident happened.

When a child sees this line for the first time in roadways buses, it also takes brain exercise to understand it.

Rajnath said that he also makes paths, and also teaches to walk. This Center of Excellence, based on Road Safety and Awareness, will always make people aware of road safety in new ways, it will protect them, I believe.

During the last 5-7 years, the increase in the budget of BRO by 3 to 4 times is not a trivial matter.
