A part of an under-construction chalk lane tunnel collapsed on Khooni Nala of the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in the Meerkot area of ​​Ramban in Jammu and Kashmir.

Many people are feared trapped in the tunnel. The Deputy Commissioner of Ramban said that 10 people are getting information about being trapped in this accident. So far one person has been rescued.

A major part of the T-3 tunnel under construction in the Makkarkot area near Khooni Nala suddenly collapsed on the Jammu-Srinagar highway in the Ramban on Thursday night.

Four to five vehicles including a dumper vehicle and several machines are also feared to be buried under the debris.

Police said that three laborers were rescued during the rescue work that continued throughout the night. The condition of all three remains critical.

He has been admitted to Ramban Hospital. The rescue work is still on. Five to seven laborers are still feared trapped in the tunnel.

Official sources say that the construction of the editing tunnel has started a few days ago. The tunnel was built only two to three meters.

In such a situation, the chances of survival of those missing due to being buried in the rubble are being expressed less.
