CBI files case against director and CEO of Golden Jubilee Hotels in bank scam.CBI filed a fraud case against Golden Jubilee Hotels director Arjun Singh Oberoi.

Apart from Oberoi and Laxmi Narayan Sharma, the CBI has also filed a case against Neha Gambhir and Yashdeep Sharma under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.

This includes criminal conspiracy and fraud in addition to the provisions of the Anti-Corruption Act. According to CBI, it is alleged that between 2009-15, Golden Jubilee Hotels had taken loans and bank guarantees of more than Rs 728 crore.

This group of banks also includes Corporation Bank, Punjab National Bank, Punjab and Sindh Bank, Jammu and Kashmir Bank, and Bank of Maharashtra.

When the hotel group failed to pay back the loan repayment period, the bank groups conducted a forensic audit from Ernst & Young. After this, this account of the bank group has declared fraud.

The bank then said in its complaint that the loan-seeking company and its promoters, along with some unknown people, hatched a criminal conspiracy and falsely defrauded the Bank of Baroda group of banks to the tune of Rs 1285.45 crore.

Apart from this, there has been no interest in this amount since September 30, 2020.

BSF arrested a Bangladeshi national on the international border with a fake Indian passport.

Under the South Bengal Frontier, the Border Security Force (BSF) has arrested a Bangladeshi citizen with a fake Indian passport from near the international border.
