A police sub-inspector was shot dead by terrorists late on Friday night in the Pampore area of ​​South Kashmir’s district Pulwama.

The terrorists carried out the attack when he was working in his fields. Police also recovered two empty shells of pistol rounds from the spot.

The terrorists have fired two bullets near the heart of the police sub-inspector. The deceased sub-inspector has been identified as Farooq Ahmed Mir (50) son of Abdul Gani Mir.

He was working in IRP 23rd Battalion at CTC Lethpora. Police are trying to find the killers.

Terrorists killed Police Sub Inspector: According to the information received from the sources, Farooq had left home to go to the fields around 8 pm on Friday.

When Farooq did not return till late in the night, the troubled family members set out to find him with the help of the local people.

When they reached the field, they saw Farooq’s body lying in the fields. The police were informed. When the team reached the spot, it came to know that he had been murdered.

There were bullet marks on his chest. A bullet was fired near his heart. Taking the dead body in their possession, when the police examined the fields, they found two empty shells of bullets there.

Police have sent the body for post-mortem. Police officials told which terrorist organization is behind this murder and which people have committed this murder.

It will be found out very soon. On the other hand, tribute will be paid to the sacrificed sub-inspector Farooq on behalf of the battalion today.

The police officer said that the relatives of the sacrificer include his father, his wife, two daughters, and a son. The department is always ready to extend all possible help to the family members.
