ACB Raids in Karnataka: 80 teams of ACB raided 80 places simultaneously in Karnataka, and the case was registered against 21 government officials.

On June 17, ACB along with 80 teams of 555 officers conducted simultaneous raids at 80 places in different districts of Karnataka.

During this, the team collected credible information about the possession of disproportionate assets against 21 government officials and registered a case against them.

ACB raids with Bengaluru Development Authority 4 houses, 1 open site, 510 gm gold ornaments, 700 gm silver articles, 1 acre 9 gunta agricultural land, 2 two-wheelers, 3 cars, Rs 86,000 cash, Rs 80,000 savings/ Deposits, and household articles worth Rs 10 lakh have been recovered.

Karnataka Anti-Corruption Bureau officials were in a setback on Friday when they unearthed the property of gardener Shivalingaiah in the Bengaluru Development Authority.

According to ACB sources, he has three houses, five prime plots in Bengaluru, agricultural and commercial land worth crores of rupees in Channapatna, and Mysore in the Ramanagara district.

“Based on the source information report, under the supervision of the Superintendent of ACB, Bengaluru City Division, three teams of 15 officers and employees have conducted simultaneous searches at three locations,” the ACB said.

ACB officials on Friday said that over 300 ACB officials raided 21 officers at 80 locations on the suspicion that they have amassed assets disproportionate to their known sources of income.

The raids started on Friday morning itself.

ACB sources said the officials found valuables, expensive vehicles, and cash besides investment documents.

Those who were raided included engineers from the Irrigation Department, Public Works Department and Rural Development, and Panchayat Raj.

In addition, a police inspector, district registrar in the office of the Inspector General of Registration, a road transport officer, a project director of a construction center, a Panchayat Grade-II secretary in Gadag district, and an assistant controller in the veterinary department are also among those whose premises were raided.
