Two Lashkar-e-Taiba Terrorists Arrested In Bandipora
Two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists going to carry out the crime in Bandipora were arrested, and hand grenades and pistols recovered.
Security forces have arrested two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists who were going to carry out the attack in the Bandipora district of North Kashmir.
This timely action of the security forces has foiled the grand plan of bloodshed in Kashmir.
Security forces say that these terrorists were assigned the task of target killing. Grenades and pistols have also been recovered from the arrested terrorists.
According to the information received from the police, the arrested terrorists have been identified as Mohammad Yusuf Wani and Manzoor Ahmad Shah. Both of them were in a Scorpio JK05H-0622.
Five grenades, 24 9 mm cartridges, and three pistols were recovered from them.
Not only this but fake certificates from Police Department and Health Department have also been recovered from both of them.
Giving information about the entire incident, a police officer said that the entire operation was carried out under the supervision of Bandipora Police and 26 Assam Rifles.
On the basis of specific information, police and army personnel put up a joint block near Pethkot Red Fort Mod. Vehicles were being checked. Also, a white Scorpio stopped at some distance from the block.
Seeing the security forces, the vehicle riders tried to return from there, but the security forces present there caught them there.
When the two youths sitting in the car were questioned, they told that they are related to Lashkar-e-Taiba.
On search of the vehicle, 03 pistol magazines, 24 live 9mm rounds, 05 hand grenades, one blanket, a fake police ID card, a fake health department identity card, and other items of daily use were recovered from their possession.
Terrorist Mohammad Yusuf Wani Pethkot is a resident of Bandipora while Manzoor Ahmad Shah Bagh is a resident of Bandipora.
During preliminary investigation, it was revealed that both of them were in contact with some active Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists.
Both were given the responsibility of carrying out the terrorist attack. Apart from this, both of them also used to provide logistics to terrorists, involve youth in terrorism, and incite them to target killing.
The police officer said that with the timely arrest of these terrorists, the plan of terror attack in the district has been averted. Both are being questioned.
