Anantnag Encounter Ended, One Terrorist Killed

Anantnag encounter ended, a terrorist was eliminated: Encounter in Kashmir. The ongoing encounter between security forces and militants in Larnu of Anantnag district of Kashmir division has ended since Saturday morning.

The security forces have succeeded in killing a terrorist. A rifle and other ammunition and drugs etc. have been recovered from the slain terrorist. The identity of the slain terrorist has not been identified.

According to information received from the army, security forces were reported to have been hiding in a hideout of militants in Larnu in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday morning.

On this basis, the security forces started a search operation in Larnu village. Meanwhile, terrorists hiding in a hideout started firing on the security forces. Security forces immediately started firing on the terrorists, taking the front.

Firing continued on both sides for a long time. During this period, the security forces asked the militants to surrender but the terrorists ignored it and continued firing on the security forces.

The security forces have succeeded in killing a terrorist in the ongoing firing from both sides. An AK rifle, ammunition, and medicines, etc. have been recovered from his possession. He has not been identified yet.

Although it is not clear how many terrorists were present at the site of the encounter, in view of this, the security forces are still continuing the search operation in the area.

Significantly, the security forces prevented the Nazir in a unique encounter on Friday in Chadura of Nagam, Budgam. As the terrorists were firing, the security forces were trying to surrender with love.

After much effort, the effort paid off, and a militant named Jahangir came out of the garden trees and surrendered. Members of the said terrorist’s family were also present on the occasion.

Police on Friday demolished the underground hideout of two Lashkar rooms on the banks of Jhelum Darya near Avantipora.

Ration, drinking water, medicine, some bedding, a pistol, a magazine, 2091 cartridges of an Assault rifle, and three grenades have been found from here.

Security forces have launched a search operation after the terrorists who used this hideout were hiding in and around Kavani.

Some suspects are also being monitored in Kawani. The police spokesman said that this terrorist hideout was at the outer edge of Kavani village.

The nearly two-and-a-half feet wide roadway for entry into it was closed with iron caps. It had two rooms. The height of each room was eight feet. One room was 70 while the other was 49 sq ft. There was also a toilet.

According to the police, the army and the 185th Corps of the CRPF were raided together soon after finding the whereabouts on Friday morning.

The terrorists had fled before the soldiers arrived. Seeing the inner situation, it seemed that the terrorists must have stayed in the room until four or five days ago.
