On the relationship between COVID and Herd immunity, Dr. Soumya said that the SARS-CoV-2 Virus is quite fatal. To break the link of this virus, it is necessary to have a herd immunity in 60-70% of people. Only then it will be possible to break its link. But if it is left to grow naturally then it will take a very long time. In such a situation, we will lose many people.
This is the reason why it cannot be made in a natural way. Therefore, there is more emphasis on making a vaccine to eliminate this virus. He said that through vaccines we can succeed and people can be saved from it. They also say that there is no better option at the moment.
