Appeal for early resolution of Naga political issue, appreciation of Center’s positive initiative.

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Leader of Opposition TR Zeliang jointly appealed to the Center and organizations for early resolution of the Naga political issue.

He praised the Centre’s positive initiative to intensify the ongoing peace negotiations.

The two leaders have said that they have issued this joint statement for peace and unity. He has urged the Center and Naga organizations to join peace talks and reach a solution soon.

Appeal for early resolution of Naga political issue: The two leaders also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on 20 October before issuing this joint statement.

Rio recently stated that his government is committed to playing an active role between the Center and other parties to the negotiations. According to him, the solution to the political deadlock should be respectable and acceptable to the Nagas.

Foreign Secretary Shringla said – North-east states of India will become gateways for countries in South-East Asia.

The north-eastern region of the country will become a gateway for the countries of East-East Asia.

South-East Asia’s relations with India stand on two pillars. First- Neighbor First, second- Act East. Foreign Secretary Harshvardhan Shringla has said this.

Shringla said- Government’s plan to increase connectivity in North-Eastern region, speed up economic activities

Through video conferencing in the inaugural session of the festival organized on North-Eastern traditions.

Shringla said the government plans to increase connectivity, accelerate economic activities, and develop cultural heritage in the North-Eastern region.

Shringla said – plans to develop a route to ASEAN countries and the Indo-Pacific region

Shringla said that to a level we will increase bilateral relations with neighboring countries. After this, they will become multilateral. Relations will then be developed through BIMSTEC.

On this basis, relations will be developed by forming a cluster of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, and Nepal. Multilateral benefits will be undertaken.

North-eastern states will act as gateways to develop relations with neighbors. There are also plans to develop a route to ASEAN countries and the Indo-Pacific region from here.
