Army issued guidelines to protect against Corona, quarantine mandatory for those returning from leave.

The fear of the third wave of coronavirus infection in the country (3rd Wave of Corona In India) is increasing. The increasing cases of Corona are also affecting the Indian Army.

By the last week of 2021 i.e. December 31, the positivity rate in the Indian Army was 2.34%, although it is less than 5%, the army has issued a new advisory for all units, formations, and headquarters as a precaution.

In this advisory, a red flag has been issued according to the positivity rate.

It has been said in the advisory that if the positivity rate is between 1 to 2%, then it will be mandatory for every formation and unit to undergo a corona test for those returning from leave or course.

This will apply to the soldiers and their families living in the unit with them. All social gathering programs will be postponed.

Also, meetings in offices will be held only in a virtual way. Apart from this, the Quarantine and Isolation facility will be activated.

If the positivity rate reaches 5%, then all soldiers returning from leave or TD will have to complete a seven-day quarantine and get a corona test done after seven days.

Also, all the patients who are sent to the medical board for opinions will be stopped immediately and consultation can be done only through telephone and video conference.

Up to 40% of ICU beds will be reserved in hospitals.

If the positivity rate is between 5 to 10%, then the capacity of people in the office will be reduced.

Non-essential travel of soldiers and their families will also be reduced but the decision will be taken by the headquarters.

Also, if the positivity rate exceeds 10%, then the ongoing courses and training of the army will be completely stopped and non-essential travel will also be completely stopped.

Corona and other emergency operations and treatment will be continued in the Military Hospital, while the surgery which is not very necessary will be postponed.

In such a situation, up to 40% of ICU beds will be reserved in hospitals. To control the crowd in the office, mess, the mealtime will also be divided according to the need.

Along with this, complete arrangements for ventilation were asked. Sanitization will also be done from time to time.

Almost all the soldiers of the army have received both doses of the Covid vaccine.

So if any symptoms of any kind of corona infection are found in those soldiers, then they have been asked to monitor continuously for seven days and will have to get tested.

Such soldiers who have not received the second dose will have to keep themselves in quarantine for seven days and always wear a mask in case of any symptoms.

Let us tell you that the Indian Army had issued its own strict rules and guidelines along with the guidelines issued by the government at the beginning of Corona, which is being followed continuously.

Since Omicron is spreading rapidly, the army does not want to make any mistake and is keeping its preparations up to date.
