Army JCO Reported Martyred In Encounter With Terrorists

Army JCO reported martyred in an Encounter with terrorists in the Nadh Kass forest of Mendhar.

During the ongoing search operation in search of terrorists since Thursday evening in Nadh Kass forest of Mendhar adjoining Rajouri-Poonch National Highway.

one JCO of the Army was martyred and two soldiers were injured in the firing.

Although the army has not confirmed the martyrdom of any jawan in the attack, the army is admitting that two of its jawans were injured.

Army JCO reported martyred: Firing is going on from both sides till late at night while the army has cordoned off the area.

After receiving information about the presence of terrorists in this area, the army launched a search operation.

During this search operation, some bullets were also fired in the forest on Thursday evening, after which the army intensified the operation.

Five Army personnel, including a Naib Subedar, were killed in an ambush on October 11 in the Soorankot area of Poonch district.

Since this incident, the army has been running a search operation in search of terrorists in the Poonch and Rajouri areas since then.

This area of Sangeyot falls in the Mendhar area of Poonch and the place where this encounter took place is Bhata Dhuriyan village near Bimber street. This area leads to Dera Gali.

This area falling in the Mendhar of Poonch is adjacent to the highway and this area is considered very sensitive from the point of view of security.

Vehicular movement was suspended on the Jammu-Poonch highway on Thursday evening. After the soldiers were injured, they have been taken to the army hospital.

While additional troops of the army have been sent to nab the terrorists hiding in the forest. The soldiers have cordoned off the entire area.

There are some residential villages along with these forests and army and police personnel have also been deployed there so that there is no harm to the people coming out of the terrorist forest and reaching the residential areas.

So far the search operation is going on in the area. It is feared that a team of four to five terrorists is currently hiding in the area, which is being seen in different areas.
