Bank Robbery In Kashmir: Terrorists looted Rs 3.50 lakh from Panjinara Gramin Bank branch in Srinagar, second robbery in four days.

The militants on Tuesday looted about 3.50 lakh rupees from the local branch of Grameen Bank located in Panjinara, the outskirts of Srinagar.

The police have registered a case in this regard and formed a special team to nab the terrorists involved in the bank robbery.

This is the second bank robbery in Kashmir in the last 4 days. Earlier, on March 12, Rs 2.24 lakh was looted from Grameen Bank in the Kunjar area of ​​Baramulla district.

Concerned police officials said that three armed militants entered Muzgund Panjinara on Srinagar and Bandipora roads later this afternoon. They threatened to kill the people present in the bank and asked them to stand aside.

After this, the terrorists forcibly took 3.5 lakh cash available in the bank and escaped while firing in the air. Bank personnel immediately informed the police after the terrorists left the bank.

A team of police from Parimpora police station reached Maike as soon as the information was received.

CCTV was not available in the bank.

The police team has also interrogated the bank workers besides taking the site of the incident. According to the police, the case is being investigated.

All the criminals involved in the bank robbery will be caught soon. Due to the non-availability of CCTV in the bank, it will not be easy for the police to investigate the matter.

The Garota police nabbed a person on the charge of smuggling timber secretly. Police also seized the vehicle in which the wood was being transported.

A party of the Gharota police was patrolling in the Chakk Bhalwal area on Tuesday morning. During this time, he saw vehicle number JK 02 AG-5041. The vehicle was loaded with wood.

Police personnel indicated the driver to stop. On seeing the police personnel, the driver accelerated the speed of the vehicle and started running away from there.

Police personnel patrolling followed the driver and stopped him at some distance.
