Bhavna Kant Created History On Republic Day

Bhavna Kant created history on Republic Day, the first female fighter pilot to participate in the parade. Women fighter pilot Bhavna Kant created history by joining the Republic Day parade.

She is currently stationed at the Rajasthan Airbase and flies a MiG-21 Bison fighter aircraft, which was part of the Indian Air Force (IAF) tableau.

This included light combat aircraft, light combat helicopters, and Sukhoi 30 fighter plane. Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan has congratulated her for this on Twitter and described it as a glorious moment for the whole country.

28-year-old Bhavna Kant is one of the three women in the Indian Air Force fighter pilot team. She joined the Air Force in 2016 along with Avni Chaturvedi and Mohana Singh.

Hailing from Darbhanga, Bihar, Kant was born in Begusarai and did her schooling from Barauni Refinery DAV Public and did engineering from BMS College, Bengaluru. She wanted to become a pilot since childhood.

In the year 2018, he made history by flying solo fighter aircraft. During this time he had a fighter aircraft (MiG-21) for 30 minutes.

She became the second female pilot of the Indian Air Force to do so. Earlier, the flying officer Avni Chaturvedi did this by flying the MiG-21 Baijan aircraft alone.

Rafale included in Republic Day parade

Let me tell you that this year the flypast in Republic Day Parade ended with fighter aircraft Rafael. This fighter aircraft for the first time participated in the Republic Day Parade.

Significantly, last year, eight Rafale aircraft from France arrived in India. India made a deal to buy 36 such aircraft. This deal is worth 59 thousand crores. In the next two years, 36 aircraft will join the Air Force fleet.

No foreign guests this time on Republic Day

No foreign guests have come to India as chief guests this time on Republic Day. Due to the spread of Coronavirus infection worldwide, no foreign guests have been able to come this time.

However, this time British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was invited as the chief guest at the Republic Day parade.

But in the UK, due to worsening conditions due to the Coronavirus, Boris Johnson expressed his inability. By the way, this is not the first time that no foreign guests are participating in the Republic Day parade.
