A local al-Badar militant was allegedly lynched by his associates and his body was dumped in Kashmir’s main Ziarat. Police have started the investigation by taking the body in their possession.

The name of the slain terrorist is Amir Ahmed Malik. He was a resident of Haidergund, Genpora in Shopian. Amir Ahmed, active since October 2019, was kept on the list of C-category terrorists by the security forces.

It was a reward of three lakhs. Police officials did not reveal the reason for his murder but suggested a factional clash. There was no bullet mark on his body.

Late in the evening some people saw him and informed the police. If sources are to be believed, a girl’s connection is behind Aamir’s murder.

The police did not confirm this, but sources said that he was allegedly in a relationship with a girl from a particular area adjoining Soura. Because of her, he fought with his accomplices and was killed.

Along with this, the possibility of the girl being beaten to death by her relatives cannot be ruled out. Apart from his murder, the police are also probing when and how he came to Srinagar.

The body of an elderly man was found under suspicious circumstances on the footpath in the Jewel Chowk area of ​​the city. The body has not yet been identified.

At the same time, the dead body of an elderly person was also found in Tata Muri Express which reached Jammu from Tata Nagar. He too could not be identified.

The concerned police shifted the bodies to the morgue of GMC Hospital for identification and to ascertain the cause of death.

On Sunday morning, people passing through the busy Jewel Chowk in the city saw a man lying unconscious on the footpath. From the gesture of the deceased, it seems that he was a Sardar.

On getting information about this, a team reached the spot from Nawabad police station and got the person lying unconscious and admitted to the hospital for treatment.

On reaching GMC hospital, doctors declared him brought dead. According to SHO Nawabad Rajesh Sharma, no identity document was recovered from the deceased so that he could be identified.

The cause of death will be revealed only in the post-mortem report.
