JKP contacted Google For an email record of Waheed-ur-Rehman Para: Terror Funding In Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir Police asks Google to record the email of PDP leader Para.

The JKP have contacted the US and Google administration to share the records of Internet media conversations and e-mails between Waheed-ur-Rehman Para, a close aide of Peoples Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti, separatists, and terrorists sitting in Pakistan.

Waheed Para is also the PDP’s youth wing president and has been in custody since November last year. The Counter Intelligence Wing of Jammu and Kashmir Police has filed a chargesheet against him in court recently.

Waheed Para’s name had cropped up during the interrogation of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Naveed Babu and the then DSP of the police Davendar Singh who was caught with him in January 2020.

Devender Singh has been relieved. NIA has also filed its charge sheet in this entire case. The Counter Intelligence Wing of the police has claimed in its charge sheet that all concrete evidence is there to prosecute Waheed Para.

He made alliances with terrorists and separatists for political gains and in return helped them by providing weapons, carrying out attacks, and in other ways.

The investigation has revealed that separatists and terrorist leaders sitting in Pakistan often used to give orders to him and he used to give information about related issues by implementing it.

According to the chargesheet, the Jammu and Kashmir Police have requested Google and the concerned agencies of the US to provide details of the e-mails exchanged through the three IEDs of Waheed Para, through the prescribed procedure and means.

According to officials, this information has been sought from the US and Google under the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) through the Union Ministry of External Affairs.

Google has been asked to preserve all e-mails and related data of Waheed Para. Google has agreed to this. Google has also been asked to provide protected WhatsApp conversations and data on iCloud.

Mehbooba denies the charge: However, Waheed Para’s lawyer and Mehbooba have denied the police chargesheet and called it motivated by political bias.

Mehbooba has alleged that Waheed Para was tortured by the police and kept in inhuman conditions in the jail. However, the police have denied Mehbooba’s allegations.
