The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said on Monday that a charge sheet has been filed against Naval Commander Jagdish.

CBI said several accused, including retired officer Commodore Randeep Singh, Commander SJ Singh, serving officer Commander Ajit Pandey and executive director of Hyderabad-based Allen Reinforced Plastics Ltd, have already been granted default bail in the case.

Let us tell you that on September 2, the CBI had raided retired naval officers Commodore Randeep Singh and Commander Satwinder Jeet Singh.

While Commander SJ Singh was alleged in the FIR that he was working in the Directorate of Submarine Acquisition (DSMAQ) before taking up the VRS on July 31, 2021, allegedly in exchange for pecuniary benefits to Randeep Singh for internal consultations. provided regular information.

Defense lawyers raised questions.

Officials said the defense counsel managed to present their arguments that the CBI had admitted that the Official Secrets Act (OSA) investigation was on.

But failed to mention it in the chargesheet, which is the charge sheet against the accused, makes them incomplete and weak, due to which all of them become eligible for default bail.

On the other hand, defense lawyers had argued on the CBI probe citing the Delhi HC judgment that the limit for filing a charge sheet under OSA is 60 days and not 90 days as the CBI has misrepresented it.
