CDS General Bipin Rawat Died In A Helicopter Accident

CDS General Bipin Rawat died in a helicopter accident, Air Force gave information. All 13 people including CDS General Bipin Rawat have died in the helicopter crash in Tamil Nadu.

Senior army officers including the CDS and his wife were present in the helicopter at the time of the accident. The Air Force has given this information by tweeting.

The news agency had also confirmed the death of 13 people out of 14 people on board the helicopter. Also, there is information that the dead bodies will be identified by DNA test.

The government will give information about the military helicopter Mi-17 V5 that crashed in Parliament on Thursday.

At the same time, the Indian Air Force has ordered an investigation to find out the cause of the accident.

Indian Air Force has tweeted that ‘It is learned with deep regret that General Bipin Rawat, Smt. Madhulika Rawat and 11 others aboard have died in this unfortunate accident.’

Wing Commander Prithvi Singh Chauhan was the pilot of the military helicopter Mi-17 V5 that crashed. He is the Commanding Officer of the 109 Helicopter Unit.

Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin has issued a statement saying that he will visit the accident site to take stock of the accident.

He also informed that the local administration has been directed to provide all possible help in the rescue operations.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has expressed grief over the accident. He has said that he is gathering more information about the accident.

According to the information received so far, CDS General Bipin Rawat has been admitted to the hospital.

Tamil Nadu Forest Minister K Ramachandran had reached the spot. He had told that out of the 14 people on board the helicopter, five have died. The condition of two other people remains critical.

According to the news agency, Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary has left for Sulur airbase to take stock of the accident.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is monitoring the situation regarding the military helicopter that crashed in Tamil Nadu.

A meeting of senior officials of the Defense Ministry is underway. Rajnath Singh has informed Prime Minister Modi about the accident.

According to the news agency, a total of 14 people were aboard the helicopter at the time of the accident.

These included CDS General Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat, Brigadier LS Lidder, Lt Col Harjinder Singh, Naik Gursewak Singh, Naik Jitendra Kumar, Lance Naik Vivek Kumar, Lance Naik B Sai Teja, and Havildar Satpal.
