Center Declares Ahmed Zargar A Terrorist Under UAPA

Center declares Ahmed Zargar a terrorist, who was involved in the 1999 Kandahar plane hijacking case.

Through the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, the central government is taking important decisions one after the other.

In this sequence, the Union Home Ministry on Thursday declared Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar a terrorist under UAPA 1967.

Let us inform you that Zargar is the founder and chief commander of the terrorist gang ‘Alaumar Mujahideen’.

Center declares Ahmed Zargar a terrorist: Zargar was involved in the 1999 hijacking of an Indian Airlines plane in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

On 24 December 1999, an Indian Airlines plane (flight number IC-814) flying from Kathmandu in Nepal to New Delhi was hijacked to Kandahar in Afghanistan.

Just a few days ago, Delhi’s Patiala House Court ordered to frame charges against LeT founder Hafiz Saeed and HM chief Syed Salahuddin, Yasin Malik, Shabbir Shah, Masrat Alam, and others.

The charges will be framed against them under various sections of UAPA for promoting terrorist and separatist activities in Jammu and Kashmir.

Hafiz Saeed’s son was declared a terrorist under UAPA.

Last week, the Center declared Hafiz Talha Saeed, the mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack case and son of Lashkar-e-Taiba founder Hafiz Saeed, as a terrorist.

For this, a notification was issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

It was told that even 46-year-old Hafiz Talha Saeed was involved in the planning, funding, and recruitment for the attacks carried out by Lashkar-e-Taiba in India.

The Center had issued a notification.

The notification also said, “The central government is of the view that Hafiz Talha Saeed is involved in terrorist activities and should be declared a terrorist under the Unlawful Activities Prevention (UAPA) Act, 1967.”

According to this, Talha is the head of the cleric wing of LeT and a major terrorist of Lashkar.

The ministry has said that it has been involved in spreading jihad against the interests of India in western countries and Afghanistan.
