Chargesheet Filed Against PDP Leader Waheed Para

Chargesheet filed against PDP leader Waheed Para, sedition charges. The PDP leader has been accused of various illegal and sedition activities.

Police on Tuesday filed a chargesheet in the court against the youth wing president of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Waheed-ur-Rehman Para for allegedly involved in terrorism-political nexus.

A police spokesperson has confirmed the charge sheet has been filed against Waheed Para. He said that there are cases against Para under various sections of the Prevention of Unlawful Activities Act.

The charge sheet has mentioned in detail all the facts which justify the allegations leveled against him. He is the link of the so-called nexus between politicians and terrorists.

Waheed Para was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in November last year.

He was arrested by the NIA on the basis of clues from the then DSP (now dissmissed) Davinder Singh of Jammu and Kashmir Police caught in the terrorist-police nexus and Naveed Mushtaq, the terrorist caught with him.

Waheed Para was granted bail in the special NIA court on January 10, 2021, but was arrested the very next day by the Counter Intelligence Wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

Para once again filed a bail application in the court after being arrested by the police, but the petition was rejected on the basis of the facts presented by the police citing the investigation.

In March this year, the NIA also filed a charge sheet against Para in court.

During the investigation, police, and NIA have found that Waheed Para had not only formed a group of stone pelters in South Kashmir.

But also allegedly financially helped Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Abu Dujana, who was involved in the Udhampur suicide attack.

He was also reportedly in touch with Burhan Wani, who was killed in July 2016. He is also accused of giving Rs 5 crore to a Hurriyat leader.

Using his influence, he also allegedly brought weapons for terrorists in his vehicle from the Line of Control in North Kashmir to Srinagar.

Apart from continuously helping Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists, he was also involved in ensuring the access of separatist elements to some important institutions so that their influence could be extended everywhere.
