Children Of Kashmiri Pandits Will Get Discounts In HEI

Children of Kashmiri Pandits will get discounts in higher education institutions: Kashmiri Pandits. Displaced Kashmiri Pandits, Pandits living in Kashmir, and children of the Hindu community will get admission to higher education institutions across the country.

Under this, there will be a discount of 10 percent in the cut-off based on the minimum educational qualification. Apart from this, there will also be an increase of five percent of the total number of seats in the respective institute in each course.

The Union Ministry of Education has taken a decision in consultation with the Ministry of Home Affairs

One seat in the merit list in each Institute of Technical and Vocational Education will be reserved for displaced Kashmiri Pandit community, Kashmiri Pandit who do not migrate from Kashmir, and children of the Hindu community.

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced the same after consultation with the Union Ministry of Education and Ministry of Home Affairs.

The student is not required to present a domicile certificate

Advisor to the Academic and Planning Bureau of AICTE – 1 Prof. The circular issued by Dilip Malkhede states that various provisions have been made for the displaced Pandit community.

Pandits who do not migrate from Kashmir, and children of the Hindu community for admission in various higher education institutions in the country for 2020–21.

No student of the displaced Pandit community is required to present a Domicile certificate to avail of the concessions of AICTE. Kashmiri Pandits and students of the Hindu community living in Kashmir will have to present a Domicile certificate.

To bring back the economy of Jammu and Kashmir and industrial development, the State Government is working on a plan to raise an investment of 25 thousand crores in the next three years.

To achieve this goal, a new industrial policy of the Union Territory can be implemented in accordance with the Central Industrial Policy this month.

With this, notification of new rules will be issued in respect of the acquisition of land and purchase and sale of land for industrial units.

Officials concerned with the Department of Industry and Commerce of Jammu and Kashmir said that the proposed investment is mainly focused on the real estate and education sector besides trade, tourism, industry, and handicrafts.

He said that not only many local but also foreign investors have expressed their desire to invest in Jammu and Kashmir, but it is staying on the basis of some policy matters.

He informed us that several concrete steps are being taken to make the newly proposed investment fully compatible with Jammu and Kashmir.

For this, the process of land allocation has also been changed. Prior to August 5, 2019, this policy for investors was based on first come first serve.

Now it will change. According to the new format, investors have to meet certain criteria, they will be assessed, and based on that, they will be allotted land. Qualification, the experience of investors will also be taken into consideration
