CM Pinarayi Vijayan Filed Nomination From Dharmadham

CM Pinarayi Vijayan filed nomination from Dharmadham, will contest against Congress candidate C. Raghunath: Kerala elections 2021.

Just a day before the deadline for submission of nominations for the Kerala Assembly elections, C. Raghunath made his nomination as a Congress candidate against the strong leader of CPI (M) and CM Pinarayi Vijayan.

He has filed from Dharmadam. Chief Minister has also done nomination. Let us know that earlier the Chief Minister had filed nomination from this assembly seat.

The Election Commission has announced the date of this year’s assembly elections in five states of the country. Voting will also be held on 6 April for the assembly elections in Kerala.

However earlier, the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) had planned to support the mother of Walayar’s siblings, who is contesting as an independent candidate.

Later the Congress leadership and AICC decided to field their candidate against the Chief Minister after filing nomination from this seat on behalf of BJP.

Earlier, the Left parties alleged that Congress had no candidates to field against Vijayan. Because of this assembly seat, Sudhakaran refused to contest elections on behalf of Congress.

Stating the reason for refusing to contest elections, he said, ‘I have informed the state leadership and high command in Dharmadham about my decision not to contest elections.

Since I have to campaign in Kannur district, being the acting president of KPCC, it is not practical to be a candidate in Dharmadam ‘. Along with this, he said that after much delay, he was asked to contest from this seat.

Explain that C. Raghunath, who was fielded by the Congress, is the secretary of the Kannur District Congress Committee and he filed the nomination before the official announcement by the party.

Meanwhile, the mother of the Valayar brothers and sisters also filed their nomination papers on Thursday to fight against the Chief Minister of Kerala.

Vijayan, who faced the last assembly elections in 2016 from Dharmadham, won by an overwhelming majority of 36,905 votes against his Congress rival Mambaram Divakaran.

Earlier, Vijayan was elected to Kerala Legislative Assembly from Kuthuparamba in 1970, 1977, and 1991 while in 1996 he was elected from Payyanur.
