Condition Of Chinese Soldiers Deteriorated Due To Cold

Condition of Chinese soldiers deteriorated due to cold in eastern Ladakh, 90 percent soldiers were called back.
The condition of Chinese soldiers stationed in front of East Ladakh is getting worse due to severe cold.

People’s Liberation Army has withdrawn 90 percent of the soldiers badly affected by the cold. Since April-May last year, China has deployed more than 50,000 troops to Indian territory in eastern Ladakh.

Sources told media, ‘China has brought in new soldiers from the hinterland to replace the soldiers present there for the last one year.

About 90 percent of their soldiers have been rotated.

He said the reason for this rotation could be that Chinese troops deployed in extreme conditions in high latitude areas have been badly affected by extreme cold and other related issues.

Sources said that even during the deployment in the Pangong Lake area, the PLA was shifting Chinese troops at high altitude posts on an almost daily basis and their movement had become very restricted.

At the same time, the Indian Army deploys its soldiers in high altitude areas for two years and about 40-50 percent of the soldiers are rotated every year.

Under these circumstances, the tenure of ITBP personnel is sometimes more than two years.

India and China had deployed massive troops against each other in eastern Ladakh and other areas along the Line of Actual Control since April-May last year.

Earlier this year, the two countries agreed to withdraw their deployment in the Pangong Lake area and stop patrolling there. Although the soldiers still remained in the nearby areas.

Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane has been frequently visiting the Ladakh sector and has been directing the ground forces to deal with the situation.

The China Study Group, including National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, has also been giving suggestions to deal with the situation and has also been giving guidelines during talks with China.
