The Congress ruled state Chhattisgarh has pulled back in the implementation of the central government’s ambitious PM Awas Yojana.
For the year 2020-21, the central government had targeted to provide housing to six lakh poor people of Chhattisgarh. The state government has decided to build only 1.20 lakh houses.
Thus, 4.80 lakhs will not be able to avail of the houseless facility. In the PM Awas Yojana, the central government is 60 percent and the state government’s share is 40 percent.
In the last two years, the Chhattisgarh government has not deposited nearly one thousand crore rupees in the PM residence. The impact of the empty treasury is visible in the ambitious plan.

According to the information, the central government has given a target of providing housing to six lakh poor people for the year 2021-2022 under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
The state government has pulled out of building such a large number of houses. Have agreed to build one lakh 20 thousand houses.
The beneficiary gets one lakh 20 thousand
Under the centrally funded scheme, one lakh 20 thousand rupees is given by the government to a beneficiary of PM Awas Yojana to make it his home.
According to the plan, the beneficiaries make their own accommodation. For this, they are given a remuneration of 16 thousand rupees from the MNREGA fund.
Beneficiaries’ housing incomplete due to lack of funds
The PM housing is constructed according to the target set by the state government. In the absence of funds, the houses of the beneficiaries are incomplete.
The amount of installment will be given to the beneficiaries as soon as the fund is released from the state government.
Four lakh 80 thousand poor will not be able to get shelter
Due to this attitude of the government, four lakh 80 thousand poor people who do not have roofs on their heads will not be able to get shelter.
