Security forces killed a JeM terrorist in Nowgam encounter, search operation continues: Srinagar Encounter.

In order to carry out a major terrorist incident in Srinagar city, one terrorist has been killed by the security forces out of two to three terrorists hiding in Nagam Wagura. The search for other terrorists is on.

On the basis of information received from reliable sources late on Tuesday night, during the search operation conducted by SOG, Army, and CRPF jawans, these terrorists were cordoned off in Wagura.

After laying siege to the terrorist hideout, the process of firing from both sides continued till late at night.

Meanwhile, the security forces gave the terrorists a chance to surrender several times, but the terrorists continued to fire in retaliation.

A terrorist was killed by the security forces in the early hours of this morning. After the killing of the terrorist, the process of firing has stopped.

The slain terrorist has been identified as Uzair Ashraf. He was a member of the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed.

He was a resident of the Shopian district. Uzair Ashraf became a terrorist in January this year. At the same time, the security forces have launched a search operation in search of other terrorists.

Let us tell you that the police had come to know on Tuesday evening that a group of terrorists is trying to enter Srinagar to carry out some major incident.

The police had come to know that these terrorists were seen in Wagura, Nowgam, about 12 km from Lal Chowk. At the same time, the police, along with the army and CRPF personnel, launched an operation to nab them.

Around 11.30 pm, when the jawans started moving forward while laying siege in Wagura, the terrorists hiding in a house opened fire on them.

The soldiers also retaliated by defending themselves, with this, the encounter started there.

IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that the number of terrorists could be two to three. Terrorists are hiding in a house. Efforts are being made to make them surrender, but thy are firing continuously.
