Delhi Capitals got a big blow, Rishabh Pant out of the team for few matches. The Delhi Capitals team is currently in a strong position in the IPL 2020 being played in the UAE.

But in the meantime, the team has suffered a major setback in the form of match-winning player Rishabh Pant.  Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant will not be part of the playing cap of Delhi Capitals in the next few matches.

Even in the match played against Mumbai Indians on Sunday, the lack of Rishabh Pant missed Delhi Capitals a lot.

Actually, Rishabh Pant, a Delhi Capitals wicket-keeper batsman who has been playing as a match finisher for the last several years, is upset with the hamstring injury and he will be out of the team for the next few matches.

This has been confirmed by his captain Shreyas Iyer. After the defeat against Mumbai in their seventh match, captain Shreyas Iyer has said that Rishabh Pant will be out of the team for at least one week.

DC suffered a 5-wicket loss to Mumbai Indians in their seventh match, missing Rishabh Pant as the team was unable to score fast runs for which Pant is known.

Pant was replaced by Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Alex Carrie, but he did not look very impressive. At the same time, Ajinkya Rahane also failed in his first match of IPL 2020.

The 27th match of IPL 2020 was played between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals on Sunday 11 October at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

In this match, the Delhi team had to be defeated by five wickets against Mumbai. Now Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer has given the reason behind the defeat in this match, due to which Delhi has lost the top spot in IPL’s 13th season table.

Shreyas Iyer has said that the team scored 10-15 runs less and so we lost. Delhi Capitals had a target of 163 runs in front of Mumbai on the basis of Shikhar Dhawan’s unbeaten 69 runs.

At the same time, Mumbai scored the target of 53-53 runs of Suryakumar Yadav and Quinton Dickock, losing five wickets and achieved the ball two balls ago. With this, the Mumbai Indians team reached the top in the points table of IPL 2020. Now both teams have 10–10 points.
