Desperate Mehbooba Mufti now targets CID, says Kashmiris are being persecuted for false cases: Kashmir.

Desperate PDP President Mehbooba Mufti now targeted the CID has demanded the release of Waheed ur Rehman Para.

She alleged that the CID of the police, like the central security agencies, is harassing Kashmiris in false cases.

On Wednesday, Mehbooba on Twitter insisted on the release of Para, the party’s youth unit president. She wrote that Para is being tortured in custody.

After the failure of the Special Investigation Team to prove the allegations, the CID joined the central agencies which forcibly confess the Kashmiris to falsely implicate them in false cases.

Let me tell you that Para was detained by the National Investigation Agency on 25 November 2020. Para is alleged to have links with terrorist commander Navid Babu and suspended police DSP Devendra Singh.

It is revealed during the interrogation of the terrorist commander and Devendra Singh. Both were caught by the police in January 2020.

Though Para was released on bail by the court, he was again arrested by the counterintelligence Kashmir wing of the police.

Witnesses may also be affected: police

The Jammu and Kashmir Police spokesperson, while replying to Mehbooba’s allegations, said that the comments made on the internet media regarding the CID investigation are inappropriate.

This has also increased the risk for CID officers. Witnesses may also be affected during the investigation of the case. It is completely wrong to say that the person has been tortured during the investigation.

CID investigations are completely professional and in accordance with the law. Every person in custody is produced before the competent court from time to time as per law.

All health facilities are provided to every person arrested or detained. It is not lawful to publicly question the ongoing investigation in a sensitive matter.
