Union Minister Muralitharan: Reasonable Answer Given To China
Union Minister Muralitharan said – given a reasonable answer to China’s efforts to cross LAC.
The government told the Lok Sabha on Wednesday that the Chinese army had tried several times to cross the Line of Actual Control (LAC) since May last year, but India has given them an appropriate response.

Minister of State for External Affairs said- both sides held nine rounds of Commander level talks to resolve the issue
Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muralitharan said in a written reply that both sides are engaged in discussions through established military and diplomatic channels to resolve issues arising out of such infringement attempts.
The two sides have held nine rounds of senior commander-level talks and six meetings of the Working Mechanism (WMCC) for consultation and coordination on Indo-China border matters.
Muralitharan said – India gave a reasonable answer to China for violating LAC
Muralitharan said that from April-May last year, the Chinese side had increased the deployment of army and weapons in the western region near the border areas and LAC.
Since mid-May, the Chinese side attempted to violate the LAC in several areas of the western region of the India-China border region. These efforts were given appropriate answers from our side.
Law Minister said – no deadline to hold elections simultaneously
Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that no timeframe has been set for holding the parliamentary elections and assembly elections in the country.
In a written reply to a question in the House, it also stated that the Standing Committee on the Department of Public Affairs, Public Grievances, Law and Justice has examined the issue of holding the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections together and consulted several concerned parties including the Election Commission has also done.
The Law Commission headed by Justice (Retd) BS Chauhan suggested a few years ago that Lok Sabha and Assembly elections be clubbed together to save the government money.

Illegal Rohingya immigrants living in 12 states.
The government told the Rajya Sabha that illegal Rohingya immigrants are living in 12 states including Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, and Tamil Nadu.
Minister of State for Home Nityananda Rai said in a written reply that since these illegal immigrants secretly come without valid travel documents, their exact number is not known.
He said that the process of identifying Rohingya and other illegal immigrants is being ensured and sent back to them.
