Encounter in South Kashmir: Kulgam And Bijbehada

Encounter in South Kashmir: Encounter going on in Kulgam and Bijbehada of South Kashmir.

The offensive of the security forces against the terrorists continues. The encounter between security forces and militants is going on at two different places in South Kashmir.

Although there is no news of any terrorist being killed, the terrorists are completely surrounded by the security forces. It is being told that their escape is difficult. How many terrorists are surrounded is not clear yet.

Security forces received information about the hideout of militants in Hatipora Kulgam and Bijbehada of South Kashmir. Immediately, police, army, and CRPF personnel launched a joint search operation at both places.

Seeing themselves surrounded by security forces, the terrorists started firing on the soldiers.

After that, the jawans have surrounded the whole area by firing back. The operation continues by removing the common citizens from the surroundings.

It is to be known that on Friday, a soldier of the Territorial Army in Gaurivan, Bijbehera, escaped after shooting a terrorist.

Mohammad Salim Akhun, a soldier of the Territorial Army wounded in the attack, died in the GMC Hospital in Anantnag. The responsibility for this attack was taken by the TRF called Lashkar’s Hit Squad.

It was only after this incident that security forces surrounded the area and started a search operation. But due to the crowded area, there was no clue of the terrorists yesterday.

There is a possibility that the same terrorists may be surrounded by security forces in Bijhada today, who attacked the soldier of the Territorial Army.

A day earlier, five militants were killed by security forces in Shopian. On the other hand, two terrorists were piled up shortly after running a search operation on the information about the hideout of the terrorists in Tral.

After seven terrorists were killed within 24 hours, Northern Command Commander Waike Joshi reached Srinagar on Friday to encourage the troops.

He had also honored the soldiers who worked bravely in the operation and said that while taking strict action against the terrorists, be engaged in making the Amarnath Yatra safe.
