‘Palatka Fire Rescue’ reported on Twitter that there was a shooting at ‘Vicks Supper Club’ on Saturday night.

The agency tweeted that ‘Many people have been shot. Several alerts were issued. Several ‘Air Medical Helicopters’ were deployed.

The Palatka Police Department said through a post on Facebook that four people were shot and one person was attacked with a heavy object.

Police said that two people died due to bullet injuries and three others were admitted to the hospital.

Palatka Fire Rescue said on Twitter that major action was taken in the shooting at Vic’s Supper Club on Saturday night.

Officials probing the matter say that in a large group gathered outside the club, there was an altercation between the two groups, after which the firing took place.

No details of any suspect are available. Palatka is about 60 miles (96 kilometers) south of Jacksonville.
