A fire broke out in Hotel Levana on Monday morning in the Hazratganj area, which is called the heart of Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow.

The SDRF team has taken over the rescue and relief work in this hotel located on Madan Mohan Malviya Marg. Meanwhile, the death toll has risen to four.

In the midst of relief and rescue work in the hotel, the team of the health department also reached the third floor of the hotel with a stretcher.

The SDRF team was engaged in evacuating the trapped people from the hotel and during this time two more bodies were found.

Seven of the 18 injured are in critical condition after a massive fire broke out at Hotel Levana Suites. Most of them are hotel workers.

CM Yogi Adityanath has also taken cognizance of this incident. Along with this, the country’s Defense Minister, Lucknow MP Rajnath Singh has also expressed grief over the incident.

When we came out somehow, the fire brigade team took us out of the hotel from the stairs.

The emergency gate did not open immediately due to which the relief work was hampered. The cause of the fire is said to be a short circuit.

The road in front of the hotel has been completely closed. Fire personnel engaged in relief work say that the fire is under control but it is not extinguished yet.

Efforts are on to put out the fire. The fire on the third floor has been extinguished first.
