Four units of Rashtriya Rifles of the Army were facilitated for encouraging surrender of terrorists: Militancy in Kashmir.

The army has brought 17 terrorists back to the mainstream in the last six months during the encounter. On this achievement, Army Chief General MM Narwane has awarded 50 RR, 44 RR, 42 RR, and 34 RR to Chief of Army Staff Citation on Army Day.

These units are formed from the Army’s Kumaon, Rajput, Assam, and Jat regiments. Major General Rashmi Bali, the GOC of the Victor Force, has commanded the campaign to surrender the terrorists. Some videos of this army campaign have been released in Delhi on Friday.

In this, the terrorists are seen crying after their surrender, embracing their father. They are regretting the mistake. The Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist Shoaib Ahmed Bhatt had surrendered during the encounter of last year as part of this strategy.

In the morning at the Dhruv War Memorial, Northern Command Headquarters, Udhampur, General Officer Commanding in Chief of the Northern Command of the Army, Lieutenant General YK Joshi presented floral cycles to the martyrs.

This military division is also handling the security of Jammu city. Army Commander Launches Shaurya Band Army commander of Army’s Northern Command Lt. Gen. Vaike Joshi on Friday launched the selected Shaurya Band during the Army’s Talent Hunt at Command Headquarters Udhampur.

The Army Commander praised the Mausiki studio supporting the army’s Talent Hunt. The program was also encouraged by Dilshad Shabbir Sheikh and Sukhvindra Singh. The 10-member band is currently set to perform in Srinagar on 18 January.

The band will get a chance to show talent on stage in Srinagar with Sukhvindra Singh, while the top three contestants will also get a chance to sing with them. This Army program is part of the events being organized to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the 1971 war.

By doing this, the army is exposing the hidden talent among the youth. In order to identify the talent among the youth, the army first conducted the online and then offline talent hunt program.

About two thousand participants took part in the event online. 350 of them were called from 7 to 11 January at Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Center in Srinagar and Radisson Blu Hotel in Jammu. 10 of them were selected for the Shaurya band.
