French Batsman Gustav McKeon breaks World Record

French batsman Gustav McKeon breaks the world record and becomes the youngest to score a century in T20I.

Young French batsman Gustav McKeon has made a world record by scoring the youngest T20 International century in his second match.

He achieved this feat in the match against Switzerland where he played explosive innings of 109 runs off 61 balls.

Gustav is currently 18 years and 280 days old and has become the youngest player to score a century in T20 International cricket.

He hit 5 fours and 9 sixes in his innings. He also scored a brilliant half-century in his first match. He scored 76 runs in 54 balls against the Czech Republic in the match played on Sunday.

However, despite his record innings, his team had to face defeat and in a thrilling match that lasted till the last over, Switzerland won by 1 wicket.

Switzerland had a target of 158 runs. The Swiss captain played a match-winning inning of 67 runs off 46 balls. Ali Nayyar scored 12 runs in the last 3 balls.

McKeon breaks the 2-year-old record.

McKeon has broken a two-year-old record with this century.

Earlier this record was in the name of Afghanistan batsman Hazratullah Jazai, who made this record by playing a century at the age of 20 years 337 days.

He scored an unbeaten 162 off 62 balls in the match against Ireland in 2019.
