New things are coming to the fore in the case of Thane-based businessman Mansukh Hiren’s murder case of an explosive-laden car near the house (Antilia) of famous industrialist Mukesh Ambani.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday told the court that it suspected that Rs 45 lakh was funded for the murder of Mansukh Hiren.

The NIA claimed that it had come to know of a crucial link to the transaction. The accused had fled to Nepal after killing Mansukh in a red-colored Tavera car.

The NIA said that it has received a CCTV, in which the killers were seen on March 4 with pleasure on Ghodbunder Road in Thane.

Presenting the accused Satish Mutkori and Manish Soni in the special court, the NIA demanded an extension of their custody.

The agency said it has found evidence of transactions worth Rs 45 lakh.

It is suspected that after the Antilia incident, that money was used for the murder of Mansukh, as he was not following the orders of sacked police officer Sachin Waze.

The NIA said that the funding of Rs 45 lakh in the murder is a very small amount, it is suspected that crores of rupees have been spent on it.

There are some more people involved in this case, about whom information needs to be obtained. After this, the court extended the NIA custody of Satish and Manish till July 5.

During the arguments in the court, the Public Prosecutor said that Rs 35,000 has been recovered from the accused in the Mansukh murder case.

The court objected and said that this amount is not huge.

On this, the Public Prosecutor said that murder is done here for five thousand rupees, in such a situation, NIA wants to know from where the accused got 35 thousand rupees.

It is noteworthy that on February 25, an explosive-laden car was recovered near Antilia in Mumbai, which belonged to Mansukh.

Mansukh had claimed the car was stolen and his body was found on March 5 in a lake in Mumbra.
