Despite this, this family surrendered funds of 500 rupees for the construction of the grand Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya and made Ramlala as its debtor.
 
Funds for Ram mandir: These days, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad committees are involved in a fundraising campaign for the construction of the Shri Ram temple.
 
On Thursday, Ram Raj, one of the members of the committee, went out to collect money along with some of his colleagues in Chhapanu village of Kanjali panchayat in Reasi district.
 
These people passed by a broken hut when someone from behind gave voice, the committee members stopped. Kanta Devi came out of the hut with her young daughter and placed 500 rupees on the hands of the committee members.
 
The committee members were stunned by Kanta Devi and her broken hut. They did not expect that anyone would come out of this hut to pay. The committee members told Kanta Devi that you can also give less money.
 
On this, Kanta Devi told that her husband Lekhraj has gone out to work at this time. He has set aside 500 rupees for wealth collection. Committee member Ram Raj said that the tarpaulin rags placed on the hut had flown.
 
Seeing the family’s condition, the committee members spoke to Lekhraj on a mobile phone. Lekhraj too was adamant that whatever happens, he would definitely give 500 rupees for the construction of Lord Shri Ram’s temple.
 
Lekhraj said that my hut will be built anytime, first, a grand Ram temple should be built. On this family’s insistence, the committee accepted that amount.
 
Seeing the condition of the family and the faith of this family towards Lord Rama, the members of Samiti proceeded with wet eyes.
 
The family has also suffered the sting of terrorism: Specially abled Lekhraj is originally from Badi village of Doda district of Jammu division. Due to terrorism, his family migrated from the year 1991 to Kanjali, a political party.
 
Where some locals gave them land to live, but after seven-eight years of illness, Lekhraj and his family, who were left with two separate accidents after illness, did not allow Gurbat to rise.
 
Lekhraj’s family has been able to build a broken hut. Where this family is facing all weather. Lekhraj said that one of his legs and two hands do not work properly.
 
Despite this, he somehow tries to raise two times of bread for the family by doing wages. His elder daughter is married with the help of locals.
 
At present, Lekhraj his wife Kanta Devi, and three children are living in a broken hut. Sanjeev Khajuria, Publicity Head of Reasi Zilla Samiti said that we are all bowling before the faith of the family.
