Chief Minister Palanisamy has requested Prime Minister Modi to operate flights from Chennai for Haj pilgrims

Chief Minister Palanisamy has written a letter to Prime Minister Modi seeking permission to operate flights from Chennai for Hajj pilgrims.

The federal government has announced that Corona will operate flights from only 10 locations across the country. In his letter to the Prime Minister in this regard, he pointed out that due to the spread of corona.

The Central Government has announced that flights for the Hajj pilgrimage will be operated only from 10 places in the country, including Chennai.

The Chief Minister said that 4,500 pilgrims from Tamil Nadu and its neighboring states make the Hajj pilgrimage every year and flights will be operated from the state of Kerala this year.

In his letter, Chief Minister Palanisamy stressed that it would be helpful to operate flights from Chennai to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia as there are a large number of elderly pilgrims.

The Government of Tamil Nadu would ensure that all corona security measures are followed to ensure that these passengers depart safely from Chennai.

He questioned the agreement between the AIADMK and the DMK and asked why the AIADMK government should not only allow the Vail pilgrimage but also all other protests.
