Jammu and Kashmir Police and Army have succeeded in arresting a hybrid terrorist from the Nowgam area of ​​Budgam district.

A large number of arms and ammunition have been recovered from the arrested terrorist.

According to the information, the Srinagar Police had received information that terrorists are hiding at a place in Nowgam of Budgam district.

Based on this, the Budgam Police launched a joint search operation with 50 Rashtriya Rifles personnel of the Army.

After some time, this joint operation of Srinagar Police and Army was successful in catching the hybrid terrorist. He has been identified as Sheikh Shahid Ghulam resident of Muchhwa.

In search of the terrorist, pistols, cartridges, and other items were recovered from his possession. A case has been registered in this regard at Budgam police station.

Meanwhile, a senior police officer says that the arrested terrorist will be interrogated and it is expected that on his traces, other terrorists operating in Kashmir and their helpers can be caught.

Let us inform here that in the ongoing year itself, in the month of April itself, there have been 14 encounters between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.

So far 23 terrorists have been killed in these. Overall, in the year 2022, so far 64 terrorists have been successful in killing them.

Police in search of helpers of terrorists operating in Jammu, there is no inclination among people to get the verification done through a mobile app

The Sunjwan encounter and the subsequent recovery of the IED in Sidra have proved that the helpers of the terrorists (overground workers) have set up bases in Jammu city and its outskirts.

Both the terrorists of the Sunjwan encounter, who had infiltrated from across the border, were kept hidden throughout the day by the overground worker Shafiq Ahmed Sheikh in his house in Sunjwan.

Shafiq was living in the house as a tenant and his police verification was not even done.

SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli asked all the stations in charge of the district to revise the verification of tenants in their area so that the OGWs living in Jammu can be found.

Jammu Police has asked the District Commissioner, Jammu to issue an order making the verification of tenants afresh mandatory.

So that the message reaches the people that it is mandatory to get the verification done of the tenant residing in their house.

A landlord who does not get the tenant verification done may also have to face jail. A case of violating the order of the District Commissioner is registered against him under section 188 of the IPC.
