Abid Ahmed Sheikh, a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist, has been apprehended by security forces in Pampore Awantipora, South Kashmir.

A large number of arms and ammunition have been recovered from his possession. Police are interrogating him.

According to a police spokesman, the police and security forces had put up a Naka in the Ladu area of ​​Awantipora. During this, a suspect passing by was signaled by the security forces and the police to stop.

In such a situation, when he tried to run away, he was immediately caught.

In search of the terrorist, incriminating documents and a grenade were recovered from his possession.

The hybrid terrorist belongs to the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist organization. He has been identified as Abid Ahmed Sheikh, son of Abdul Aziz Sheikh, a resident of Satpokharan.

During initial interrogation, the arrested terrorist confessed that he was in touch with the LeT commander and that he used to pass weapons to other terrorists as well.

A case has been registered against the terrorist at Kharyu police station.

Tamil Nadu Army jawan posted in Pooch dies due to accidental firing, orders issued for investigation.

A jawan posted in the Mankot sector, adjacent to the Line of Control in district Poonch, died due to accidental firing today.

The deceased jawan was identified as Easwaran R resident of Gudlur Tamil Nadu. The army has ordered an inquiry into the matter.

At the same time, the police have also started their own investigation by registering a case in this regard. The police handed over the post-mortem of the jawan’s body to the battalion.

According to information received from the police, 27-year-old Easwaran was posted in R 37 Rashtriya Rifles.

RR deployed soldiers told that in the morning they heard the sound of firing, after which everyone ran towards Easwaran’s camp.

When the jawans reached there, they found Easwaran lying on the ground covered in blood.

He was immediately picked up and taken to the Upazila Hospital Mendhar where doctors declared him brought dead.

Police said that during preliminary interrogation, the jawans revealed that Easwaran had his service rifle lying with him.

This suggests that Easwaran had accidentally fired from his own service rifle in which he was seriously injured.

He died on the way before reaching the hospital. The body was handed over to the army after conducting a post-mortem at Mendhar Upazila Hospital.
