IAF’s ‘Vayu Shakti’ exercise to be held in Jaisalmer postponed, was organized on 7 March.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) on Friday postponed its airpower exercise, which was scheduled to take place on March 7 at the Pokhran range in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.

It was postponed amid the global crisis over the war between Russia and Ukraine. A new date has not yet been set for this event.

The reason behind the cancellation of this event has not been disclosed. In this event held every three years, the Air Force demonstrates its preparedness.

Earlier this happened in the year 2019. A total of 148 aircraft, including the latest Rafale aircraft, were to be inducted. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also expected to attend the event.

Earlier, the government had also postponed the Defexpo-2022 to be held on March 10-14. Apart from this, the IAF also refused to participate in the Cobra Warrior to be held in England.

Today was the full dress rehearsal.

Let us inform you that a full dress rehearsal was also held for IAF’s biggest war exercise ‘Vayu Shakti’ at Chandhan Firing Range in Pokhran, Jaisalmer today.

Rafale, the country’s most advanced fighter jet, also witnessed its firepower for the first time in Operation Vayushakti.

The IAF conducts exercises every third year and is attended by veteran officers from many countries.

The country’s biggest war exercise was scheduled to be held on the western border, which will no longer be held on 7 March, with multiple aircraft echoing in the sky and fighter planes bombing proxy targets.

The Bravehearts were preparing for this exercise for a month.

Operation Vayushakti includes 109 fighters, including 148 aircraft including Rafale, Sukhoi, Mirage, Jaguar, and MiG-29.

In the flower rehearsal, the fighter jets flew and attacked the imaginary enemy positions in Chandan.

Apart from this, 24 Apaches, Chinooks, Light Combat Helicopters, seven transport aircraft, four remote control aircraft are also part of this Operation Vayushakti.

Not only this, Rafael, who attended the Vayushakti Phool Dress Rehearsal for the first time, was seen attacking air to ground and air to air.

Along with this, Rafael’s excellent jugalbandi with Sukhoi was also seen.

It is noteworthy that after the Russian military action in Ukraine, the Central Government has started Operation Ganga Mission to rescue Indian citizens trapped there.

Recently, Prime Minister Modi had instructed the Air Force to support this mission as well.

After this, the Air Force aircraft C-17 has started bringing back its citizens arriving in the neighboring countries of Ukraine.
