IG Vijay Kumar – 78 terrorists have been killed in Kashmir since January 2021.

Since January 1, 2021, 78 terrorists have been killed in the Valley. More than half of them were associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba.

This information was given by Kashmir’s IG Vijay Kumar while addressing media personnel after the killing of two ISJK terrorists in the Alamdar Colony.

The situation in the Kashmir Valley is completely under the control of the security forces.

Most of the terrorist commanders have been killed and those who are left are on their way to save their lives.

He said that our first attempt is to catch the terrorists alive and surrender them. Every effort is made for them to surrender.

When there is no other option, then only we kill the terrorists in retaliation in the encounter. We give them the full opportunity to surrender even at the time of encounter.

He said that we will not allow anyone to spoil the improving situation here. Referring to the terrorist incidents that took place in the past, he said that most of the terrorists have been killed.

The survivors manage to carry out sometimes sensational acts to maintain the morale of their cadre and create fear among the people.

He told that so far 78 terrorists have been killed in the valley this year. Of these, 39 are Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists. Apart from this, 10 terrorists of Al Badr and a dozen Hizb terrorists have been killed.

Another 17 terrorists belonged to PAFF, ISJK, Jaish-e-Mohammed. He said that special arrangements have been made for the safety of the tourists.

Nakas have been increased in Kashmir as compared to earlier. Security forces are keeping a close watch even from tall buildings.

Suspect caught on Kanachak IB, youth from Assam, inquiry continues.

An Assam citizen was apprehended under suspicious circumstances near the Border Security Force (BSF) post in village Kukriya in the Kanachak sector of India-Pakistan’s International Border (IB).

After interrogating the suspect, the BSF handed him over to the Kanachak police for further action.

On Friday morning, a resident of Kukriya village informed the 12 battalions of BSF posted there that an unidentified person was roaming near his post.

BSF jawans caught the young man. The youth gave his name as Najmul Haque resident of Kazipra, Sub Division Bilasipara, District Dhubri, Assam.
