India Hosts Major Clean-Energy Expo in Greater Noida Amid Net-Zero Push
India Hosts Major Clean-Energy Expo: The joint 18th Renewable Energy India Expo and 3rd Battery Show India will open from October 30 in Greater Noida, showcasing India’s growing ambition in clean energy, battery innovation, and sustainable infrastructure.
India started the 8th Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo
India has kick-started one of its largest clean-energy exhibitions — the 18th Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo and the 3rd Battery Show India — at Greater Noida today, reaffirming the country’s commitment toward achieving net-zero emissions by 2070.
The three-day event brings together global leaders, innovators, and policymakers in the renewable energy space. It highlights the rapid advances India is making in solar power, green hydrogen, battery storage, and sustainable mobility solutions.

According to organizers, more than 700 exhibitors from 40 countries are participating, including major players from the U.S., Germany, Japan, and South Korea. The event also features high-level discussions on energy transition, EV ecosystems, and investment opportunities in India’s renewable sector.
The government’s focus remains clear — to make India a global manufacturing hub for battery technologies and solar components, reducing import dependence while creating green jobs. Experts believe such expos strengthen investor confidence and accelerate private-sector participation in sustainable infrastructure.
India Hosts Major Clean-Energy Expo: Union Minister of Power and New & Renewable Energy
R. K. Singh, Union Minister of Power and New & Renewable Energy, emphasized that the event aligns with India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission and the goal of achieving 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
Industry analysts say this year’s expo could see multiple MoUs and technology-transfer deals, especially in lithium-ion battery production and recycling — two critical components for India’s growing EV industry.
The REI Expo has evolved into a platform not just for showcasing innovations but also for forging global partnerships that can speed up the country’s clean-energy transition.
