India taunts Pakistan over cross-border terrorism in NSA virtual meet of BRICS countries.

India on Tuesday raised the issue of cross-border terrorism and activities of terrorist organizations like LeT and Jaish-e-Mohammed at a meeting of BRICS representatives responsible for national security.

India said that these organizations are enjoying the support of one country and threaten other countries with regard to peace and security.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Tuesday hosted the 11th meeting of the BRICS High Representatives responsible for national security through video conferencing.

According to a statement by the Ministry of External Affairs, the delegates adopted and recommended the BRICS Anti-Terrorism Action Plan for consideration by the BRICS Summit.

The action plan of the meeting was aimed at financing and combating terrorism, internet abuse by terrorists, preventing terrorist travel.

Also, border control, safeguarding easy targets, information sharing, capacity building, and cooperation in international and regional cooperation.

In a veiled attack on Pakistan over cross-border terrorism, India said the activities of terrorist organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed are a threat to peace in the entire region.

The statement said that India raised the issue of cross-border terrorism and activities of terrorist organizations like LeT and JeM, which have the support of one country and threaten peace and security.

It said the meeting reviewed the regional and global political and security scenario in the context of current developments in Afghanistan, Iran, the Middle East, and the Gulf and emerging threats to national security such as cyber security.

The meeting of the High Representatives took place ahead of the summit meeting of the leaders of the BRICS countries, which will be hosted by India this year.

Apart from India, BRICS countries include Brazil, China, Russia, South Africa.
