At this, the peasants tried to run back while firing at the soldiers. On this, the soldiers also started counter-firing. There was firing from both sides for about 35 minutes. Seeing themselves trapped, the intruders fled back to save their lives. Frustrated with this failure, Pakistani troops opened heavy fire on Indian bases in the Machhal sector and the Gugaldara sector. Pakistani troops targeted the areas of Muthal Top and Jungle Tekri.

On this, Indian soldiers also fired back. He targeted two Pakistani posts, Wahhabdar and Ratapani, across the LoC. A Pakistani military building was destroyed in retaliation. There are also reports of one of his soldiers being killed and two others injured.
Sources said that Pakistani guns were completely silenced after retaliation by Indian soldiers. Earlier, a team of terrorists from the Kalal sector of Naushera in Rajouri also tried to enter Indian territory.
