Weather update: Heavy rains likely in Kerala, Meteorological Department issued Yellow and Orange alerts for many districts. The Meteorological Department (IMD) in Kerala has issued an ‘Orange Alert’ which has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Wayanad districts on July 29 and 30. The meteorological department has done this with many districts in the state.

A yellow alert has been issued in Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts reflecting heavy rainfall in the coming days. Whereas, an orange alert has been issued for Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts tomorrow.

Delhiites wait for the rain

People in Delhi and its surrounding areas are feeling the heat of the humid weather. People are just waiting for the rain to get relief from the scorching sun. According to the information released by the Meteorological Department, there is every chance of rain here today. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall may occur here on Wednesday and Thursday.

However, the temperature in the capital of Delhi on Tuesday was 3 degrees Celsius above normal to 37.5. At the same time, the maximum temperature in most parts of the city was recorded between 37 and 39 degrees Celsius. Also, the humidity level was 95 percent. Due to which the people of Delhi had to face troubles.

Outcry in Uttarakhand due to rain

Significantly, continuous rains have led to floods in many states. Floods in Bihar, Assam, and Uttarakhand have caused havoc. Chamoli in Uttarakhand has been raining continuously since Monday. Due to monsoon rains, there is heavy destruction in many areas of Uttarakhand. Here, in Kaladungi in Uttarakhand, water-filled due to rain has caused havoc. Due to incessant rains, water inundation has come in many villages of Kaladungi. Crops have been destroyed and people are suffering from water entering houses.
