Indian women team lost to South Africa in T20 series, the guest team won by 8 wickets: Indian Women Team vs South African Women  Team T20I Series.

The Indian women’s cricket team lost the ODI series against South Africa 4–1.  It was believed that the Indian team could make a comeback in T20 cricket.

But without playing regular captain Harmanpreet Kaur, the Indian team suffered a crushing defeat by 8 wickets in the first match.

The opening half-century of opener Anneke Bosch (66 not out) and a 90-run partnership for the second wicket with captain Sune Luce (43) saw South Africa women’s team beat India by eight wickets in the first T20 International match in three matches. Took a 1-0 lead in the series.

South Africa won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, India scored 130 for six on the basis of a half-century innings by Harleen Deol (52).

South Africa achieved the target at the loss of two wickets in 19.1 overs. The Indian team missed the regular captain Harmanpreet Kaur, who did not play in this match due to injury.

In her absence, Smriti Mandhana led the team while medium pace bowler Simran Bahadur made his debut for the national team.

Chasing the target, South Africa lost the wicket of Liezel Lee (08) in the third over itself. Simran caught his easy catch off Arundhati’s ball.

Bosch and Luce then managed to send the ball out of the boundary line at regular intervals with the Indian bowlers playing well. Bosch hit six and nine fours during his 48-ball 66, including the winning four.

Earlier during the Indian innings, Harleen shared a 45-run partnership with Shefali Verma (23) for the second wicket and 60 for the third wicket with Jemima Rodriguez (30), but the team failed to increase the run pace in the last over.

Virat Kohli made it clear that now he will start the innings, KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan return.

India performed strongly in the fifth match of the T20 series against England and captured the series. First set a mammoth target of 224 runs in the batting and then won by 36 runs despite the dew.

In this match, Virat Kohli bowled opener KL Rahul and started the innings himself. He shared a 94-run partnership with Rohit and now he wants to do so even further.
